Leaf Notes

We have personally walked the farms and visited the facilities the hemp used in our products is processed in.

* All of our products are independent third party lab tested, twice, before being made available for purchase.

* Our partners go above and beyond to supply us with documentation to validate their standards and are registered with oversight agencies such as the FDA, DOA and U.S. Hemp Roundtable.

Quality we can all get behind

We are committed to delivering the highest quality hemp derived CBD products. We would never sell something we would not use ourselves. But what does that exactly mean? There’s a lot of information about CBD going around online these days, but not many companies are willing to offer the full transparency into how these products are produced. We are so we created this page to answer a few commonly asked questions on the processes in which our products are produced, where the ingredients are sourced and how we define high quality suppliers.

The FDA plays a significant role in regulating the dietary supplement and nutraceutical industry, learn more about that here.

What do we look for in a supplier?

First we have to understand that most supplement companies, particularly CBD companies, do not plant, grow, harvest, extract, process, test and produce their own hemp or carrier oils. Instead, most source their ingredients from suppliers and have them processed into sellable units. This means our suppliers are responsible for creating a safe, high-quality product.

The governmental agencies minimum requirements for Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for a quality product are identity, purity, potency and safety. Every product must be tested for all these requirements through third party labs. This means that the grow, oil and final product all get tested separately.

We only partner with companies who have their facilities registered with the FDA, meet cGMP standards, are registered with their state and federal Department of Agriculture and have been U.S. Hemp Round Table Certified.

The recently passed 2018 Farming Bill requires that all industrial hemp products are grown under strict guidelines that they cannot contain more than 0.3% THC level, the cannabinoid that gets you “high”. Currently 19 states are able to grow industrial hemp legally within the U.S, our hemp is sun-grown in the heart of Kentucky.

Our farming partners are registered hemp cultivators with the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. All of their hemp is grown under strict organic guidelines and is U.S. Hemp Roundtable Certified.

How do you ensure the final product meets your high-quality standards?

All of the raw materials and ingredients go through rigorous testing before they can be combined into a final unit. Once those labs are confirmed the oil is then blended with MCT Oil and retested for cannabinoid count and purity.

Our partners provide us with all documentation, COA’s and COC’s necessary to comply with these stringent quality standards. We never release a product until all labs pass. Twice.

How is this information available to customers?

When you receive your myleaf CBD product, on the package will be a QR code that scans to our Lab Result database. From that page, you may enter the batch number of the product you have received and it will pull up a copy of the third party lab results for that particular batch of products.
